When I was about nine, I became the proud owner of an original Nintendo Game Boy. I played it with such sustained intensity that I would sometimes see Mario marching across the backs of my eyelids when I tried to sleep. Since then, save the occasional round of Wii Tennis, I haven’t spent much time with gaming devices.
